NUTN’s Performance of the Drama of the Legend of QuataOng in the NMTH The Department of Drama Creation and Application, NUTN, performed the drama of " the Legend of QuataOng " on June 7-9 at the Tainan Cultural Center native theater. The show described Taiwans diverse ethnicity and dynamic life style but facing with a vanishing history for minority groups. Performances resulted in much enthusiastic audience responses. In order to repay many viewers’ reverberations, the show staged again at the National Museum of Taiwan History(NMTH) on June 15-16 (10:30 am; 14:30 pm), with the "see Pingpu: Taiwan Pingpu history and Culture" exhibition. Through the exhibition of “Seeing Pingpu”,we can also learn to cultivate tolerance and respect, and to cherish the diverse cultures that exist in Taiwan society. Tatu kingdom, as Barbra mid-16th century aboriginal tribe and Babu Sa clan, tribe, and Pakistan is a part of the sea hongya family, which founded "Inter-ethnic prospective kingdom". The major areas of the field in todays Taichung County, Changhua County and Nantou County and part of, according to the Scotsman David Wrights record, when Tatu most powerful kingdom ruled the 27 villages, but then there are 10 separate villages. 1670 Tatu kingdom revolted under the Ming Zheng generals Liu Guoxuan strong repression, the massacre to the remaining six people, almost genocide. The drama is a narrative history of Tatu tribe to defend the dignity of the kings courage and wisdom and culture, and to choose the way of peace and war to face the Dutch and Han Chinese and other foreign forces. A piece of being forgotten Taiwanese history has been represented itself through the drama performance again. |
