Admission Evaluation: Bachelor’s Program

(Important Notice: Application documents will not be returned. Please retain copies for your records.)
  1. Completed Application Forms
    Two copies of the application form, each with a 2-inch bust photo attached.
  2. Declaration and Authorization Form
    Includes records for document submission.
  3. Academic Credentials
  1.  One copy of the applicant’s highest academic degree diploma or an equivalent qualification.
  2. An official transcript for all semesters.
  3. These documents must be verified with an official stamp by an R.O.C. (Taiwan) embassy, consulate, or overseas mission or by a notary public authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, R.O.C. (hereinafter referred to as “R.O.C. representative offices abroad”).
  4. Diplomas must be sent directly from the issuing institution to NUTN.
  5. If the original diploma or transcript is not in Chinese or English, a notarized translation in either language is required.
  1. Financial Statement
    Issued by a bank in the applicant’s country of residence and sent directly from the bank to the mailing address provided below.
  2. Department/Institute-Specific Requirements
     
  1. Two recommendation letters
  2. Study plan (written in Chinese, approximately 3,000 words)
  3. Autobiography (including learning experience), written in either Chinese or English (500–1,000 words)

  3. Autobiography (including learning experience), written in either Chinese or English (500–1,000 words)
  4. Proof of spoken and written Chinese proficiency from a recognized international language institution or test
Language Proficiency Requirements
  1. Chinese Proficiency: Applicants must provide proof of Chinese language ability (TOCFL Level 2 or HSK 4).
  2. English Proficiency: Applicants must provide proof of English proficiency with a minimum score of:
    1.  TOEFL: 390 (PBT) / 29 (iBT) / 90 (CBT)
    2. IELTS: 3.0
    3. Native English speakers are exempt from this requirement.

Application For International Students
*Qualification

I. Eligibility for International Students

Applicants must hold a foreign nationality, excluding citizens of Hong Kong, Macau, and the People's Republic of China. Additionally, applicants must not have previously studied in the R.O.C. (Taiwan) as an overseas Chinese student.

II. Definition of International Students

International students are individuals who:
  1. Do not hold R.O.C. (Taiwan) nationality.
  2. Have resided in a foreign country for more than six years (refer to Notes 2–3).
  3. Meet one of the following conditions:
Hold dual nationality but have never registered for household registration in the R.O.C. (Taiwan).
Previously held R.O.C. (Taiwan) citizenship but have renounced it for fewer than eight years (as of the school start date).
Note: Applicants who possess overseas compatriot student status or have previously applied to colleges/universities in the R.O.C. (Taiwan) under this status are not eligible to apply as international students.
Violation of any of the above criteria will result in the immediate cancellation of admission or revocation of student status at NUTN.
 

III. Academic Qualifications for Admission

  • Applicants with a high school diploma are eligible to apply for undergraduate programs.
  • Applicants with a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for master’s programs.
  • Applicants with a master’s degree are eligible to apply for Ph.D. programs.
  • Applicants with equivalent qualifications recognized by the R.O.C. (Taiwan) academic system may also apply.
